THE HERO'S JOURNEY - Innocent to Magician

"Life is most generous to the one who has the courage to live what she can dream" - Gerard Fournier

BARBARA DE ANGELIS

Full sexuality goes way beyond what we do with our body. It's about how we deal with our energy. Sex is just a very tiny way that we define the life energy. When my husband makes love to me and I feel ecstasy, he doesn't give it to me. He doesn't pour it down my throat. It was already in me and something about that experience sparks it. When you look at a beautiful sunset and you must feel this ecstasy, the sun didn't come and give you a pill that makes you feel ecstatic. Somehow that ecstasy must have been inside of you or you couldn't have been stimulated by the sun to have it. So what all the great teachers for thousands of years have said is if you have this ability, which granted certain things turn on, why not find out how to turn that on inside yourself all the time. Why not find your own pool of ecstasy, your own source of ecstasy.

JOHN O'DONOHUE

Maybe the mind is like a tower of windows. We don't look out just one window in our mind. If you stay caught behind the same window of perception all your life, looking out at the same thing in the same way, every day, then you are the victim and prisoner of your own fear and limitation.

LOVE, SEX & GOD RE-UNITED & SANCTIFIED

DEEPAK CHOPRA

True ecstasy comes from returning to your own original primordial energy state, which is a state of wholeness.

MARTYR

"As we change, our reality changes too". - Lynn Andrews

CAROLINE MYSS

The truth is that the healing journey begins with the same thing that intuitive sight requires, which is a sense of self-esteem.

So healing the whole self is basically healing the environment, healing the physical body, healing the emotional body and healing the wounds of the soul.

ORPHAN

"If you want to become a diver, dive deep". - Lili Fournier

THOMAS MOORE

Most people have to deal with some kind of darkness whether it's internal or external or both. And this is the great challenge. I don't see how we can live a fully sexual life and try to continue to evade and avoid the dark night of the soul. These two come together. When you are living in this world in a more sexual way, that means you are more intimate with the darkness and with the loss, and that makes you human, allows you to be a sexual person; to have gone through these experiences.

WANDERER - The Call to Adventure

"To the wilder thresholds, where the most precious moments of your life are waiting for you". - John O’Donohue

JOHN O'DONOHUE

One of the great sadnesses in contemporary society is that the wildness that is in our nature, has been replaced by function and behavior and control. And maybe of the places where it's safe to do that is when you fall in love with someone sometime. And it's lonely that that is one of the few places, where if passion, if you like, is affirmed and expected.

MARIANNE WILLIAMSON

If you've been sitting on your passion for twenty or thirty years and somebody says okay you get to be passionate, you don't even know how ... how to find it. And that's the deep search that many people are undergoing at this time.
And it is a point of such unbelievable creativity, and I think we want it. And I think not only do we want it but we've learned, you know, we've seen through the big lie: money can't give it to you. The new piece of furniture can't give it to you. Even sex ultimately can't give it to you. It's a fire in the belly that gives it to us. And that fire comes from a sacred place. And in that place we cry as well as laugh, but we're real .

WARRIOR

"Boldness has genius, power and magic in it." - Goethe

JOHN O’DONOHUE

I think maybe that another way of looking at the journey of one's life is that it is a quest where the transfiguration of fear is the constant sacrament. When you transfigure your fear, then you're increasing and deepening your freedom.

And I think that that's what it's about. It's about exploration. Did we have the courage, graciousness and vulnerability to awaken all the possibilities that slept in the clay of our hearts. In other words, were we artists of our own deepest possibility. Or did we shrink back from that calling and settle for some complacent compromise where we were never challenged, but where we were always lonely because our deepest nature was never met.

MAGICIAN

"The real challenge is dreaming a deeper dream of what life can be". - Jim Garrison

JOHN O'DONOHUE

Seeing is such a powerful thing, you know. Like the Greeks say, somewhere, that eternal... eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. In other words, if you're going to be free, you need to stay awake.

JOHN GRAY

If we can open our hearts and feel love then the decisions we make when our hearts are open come to fruition. Our lives are enormously successful, if we make decisions from love

THOMAS MOORE

The magician, the magus says that most is accomplished with inconspicuous means. That means that the smallest most ordinary means gets you farther than the extraordinary does.

BARBARA DE ANGELIS

And that if we just make the tiniest effort to begin, we will get so much help, so much support, from all the energies that exist, we won't have to do it alone. And I'm so passionate about people coming back to love because love is not just the path, it's not just the goal, I truly believe it is all that exists. It's all we all are.
