		TRIBAL POWER - Silent Knowledge CAROLINE MYSS The road to empowerment is the journey of increasing your own volume, increasing the heat on the inside of you. And then what does that mean? It means that you increase your sense of power in relationship to all of life. Where what is increasing as you become conscious is your own sense of authority over the external world, over what has authority over you. In doing that you automatically increase - what increases is your sense of wanting to explore your power sexually, wanting to explore your sense of who you are and what you can and cannot do - what you’re capable of. MARIANNE WILLIAMSON I think that personal growth is a kind of de-tox process. Everything that's dark within us. Remember darkness within us is not where we're bad. It's where we're wounded. It's where at some point in our lives we didn't know how to get our needs met from a noble place. So, we struck a deal and then from that point forward we had developed a habit pattern. Behaviourally or mentally where we compromised with the higher within us and we did it so that after that point we were not even conscious we were doing it. Those are our wounds. The spirit of God actually activates those places and He triggers those places in order that they are then so obvious to us that we can then make a conscious choice to let them go. Otherwise, how would we? DAVID WHYTE T.S. Elliot said, "not known because not looked for’. This is very fearsome, very scary. What you're talking about is not only creativity, but actually facing this part of existence which is really very fiery and very difficult to deal with. There is a tremendously nourishing part of life, and there's a part that seems as if it has a knife to your throat. Now it has its knife to our throat in a threatening way, but it also has the knife to the throat of the part of us that is scared to death of it, of life. But there is another part of us which finds it, the dance and the entanglement, the actual embroilment, that finds it just emboldening. But it costs everything to actually enter in that way into life.   PERSONAL POWER - Self Importance Is the Real Enemy CAROLINE MYSS We're designed to have our integrity tested so that we can in fact recognize the strength and the need for honor because this is where your honor code lives. Your sense of personal power. Today, I would say most people are still struggling with the fact that they're not strong enough to promise themselves they will not in fact negotiate their spirit. They do. They do for money, they do for stature, status, they do for clout with another person. How do you negotiate your spirit? STEPHAN RECHTSCHAFFEN Truth is, who are we in this present moment. And if we're fully willing to come with awareness with all the consciousness that we have at this moment and bring it to this very moment, then there is an opportunity for us to really begin to expand. This is what I believe mystical practice is about. We open into the timeless because as consciousness itself rises, we see the moment expanding and then we go into this state where there's not change, there's not newness, there just is. Things are just the way they are right now. Many of us really hold back from it. THOMAS MOORE I think Jung, the Magus, was speaking there. The magician who says that the world is in such... it's in sympathies that are mysterious, that are invisible. There are connections between people and between events, between places that we don't understand, don't know about, but they exist. The synchronicities. Now to live in a world where you don't try to explain those things but where you guide... let your life be guided by them and you make your decisions by them, that is living in a world that is magical based on magic. So I think that with an appreciation of the magical influences and patterns at work in life, we then live in an enchanted world.   THE FIRE WITHIN - Living Impeccably Is the Best Use of One’s Energy DAVID WHYTE "The hand moves and the fire’s whirling takes different shapes. All things change when we do, all things change when we do, all things change when we do. The first word ahhhh blossoms into all others, each of them is true." It has the ahhh of revelation, of things going well, being on top of the world. But it also has the ahhhhhh of driving to work on a Monday morning, losing someone close to you, losing your job, not knowing what your life is about. Both at the same time. And that your soul does not shirk living between those two places. In fact that's the place it wants to live. It doesn't want easy answers about where to put its feet, because those would be someone else's answers you see. CAROLINE MYSS People are showing up at my workshops in droves saying excuse me "I tried everything. I tried acupuncture, I tried Reiki, I tried massage, I tried past life, I go into future lives, I've gone into any lives you want, but I am not healing." So why? MARIANNE WILLIAMSON I was reading a Carlos Castaneda book, and he had this great concept of the petty tyrant. The people or situations that just come along and just completely wrong you or betray you, and he's talking about what a spiritual gift they are, because you are only defeated by the spirit of the petty tyrant if you become bitter. If you become closed and shut to life because that happens. If you can endure the experience of the meanness of the world, and ultimately be more compassionate, then you were well served by that experience.   REACHING FOR WISDOM - Opening the Doors of Perception THOMAS MOORE It seems that everybody to a greater or lesser degree, goes through either an internal dark night of the soul or great struggle, challenge. Or it may come from outside. Disaster, a death, deaths around you, your life falling apart, loss of work, physical problems, illness, disabilities. Most people have to deal with some kind of darkness whether it's internal or external or both. I know when I meet people who have gone through a really incredibly challenging experience in their own lives, or if they're working with people who are going through these things and are very closely acquainted with them, these are people who really know what matters. And they know how to live. And they live with a great deal of fullness. And I think there's a great secret and teaching in that...   SPIRITUAL POWER BERNIE SIEGEL And my sense is when people reach the point that they can say yes, I am strong, that ‘’Thy will be done’’ has happened, because you are one with the creator. And its a steady flow. And when you leave your body there's really no time either, because energy doesn't have a clock. Matter in a sense does, so when you're spiritual, the more you're in touch with that creative force, the less you age also. Because you're in a different place, a different time. You're not just existing. There's the old statement, grow old along with me, the best is yet to be. I don't agree. The best is today. If I say what's the best day of your life, you say now. So don't give me that grow old along with me, give me grow young along with me, because I'll never grow old. If you age properly you get younger and you enjoy life, because you are free.
