BARBARA DE ANGELIS
The real secret of an incredible relationship has absolutely nothing
to do with the other person. It has to do with you. You can only
love as much as your heart is capable of loving. Not just that person,
but anything. There's only one door to the heart. You can't keep
it closed to all kinds of people and all kinds of things and all
kinds of situations but think, well, with the right person, then
I'll open it for him. It doesn't work that way. It's one door.
ERICA JONG
We have a whole generation of young women who don't know how to
flirt and they have been told they don't have to flirt. All they
say to a guy is exactly what they feel all the time. And guess what,
it doesn't work. Because, you know, since the days of the cave,
since Mel Brooks ‘2000 Year Old Man’, we have been flirting
with each other and it's that game that peaks the sexuality. It's
not dishonest either. It's just flirting.
JOHN GRAY
One of the things that's so hard for women to understand is that
there are certain differences and you can't change them. If you
try to change them it will not work. And that basic difference is,
the man needs to be the pursuer. If you pursue a man more than he
pursues you, he becomes the pursued and he loses touch with his
ability to hunger for her, to want her, to be motivated to do things
to get her. Men have to be driven, they have to find that there's
a distance and I have to cross over that distance. I have to get
to her. I have to win her over.
