In Passages we explore the heroic life journey in reclaiming
our wisdom and our power. We need to re-define the heroic
beyond the physical. We’re intellectually heroic when
we risk expressing ourselves, emotionally when we’re
not afraid to be vulnerable, and spiritually when we have
the courage to pursue our dreams. It is with immense pleasure
that I share with you the wisdom of these incredible women
whose own passionate commitment to truly making a difference
in this world is an inspiration to us all.
Profiles include: Jane Goodall,
Lynne Twist, Anita Roddick, Joan Borysenko, Jean Houston,
Gail Sheey, Sherry Anderson, Apela Colorada, SARK, Laurel
Mellin.
JEAN HOUSTON
“And to be able to really live mythically, and live
in our fullness, live out of the great story, is what not
only gives charge to our existence, it gives charge to the
existence of all of us.”
ANITA RODDICK
So my advice to women about wanting to follow their dream
is pause, don't say certain words, don't say I can't do it.
When you visualize things, you're almost in a pattern of a
behavior of living it out. I vision things and I've lived
it out. Once I've visioned it, it's happening. And once I
talk about it, I've doubly made it happen. For me everything
is measured by my actions. This is no dress rehearsal . So
that's the confidence. And I'm on a path. There's no detours.
I'm down this path.
APELA COLORADO
One of the commandments here in Hawaii is love all that you
see. And this is the hardest one because it includes ourselves.
So the things we know to do to learn to love ourselves, we
need to do them. And that’s how we find our power.
Women are actively pursuing ways to live
life in balance, and learning to bring their beliefs and values
into every aspect of their lives. Changing old habits, and
taking self nurturing seriously for the first time, women
are reclaiming the unique power of the feminine, and finding
strength and courage to re-invent who they are.
This provocative and profoundly moving trilogy imparts powerful
insights to help every woman achieve optimum well being, and
become physically, emotionally, and spiritually, the best
she's ever been. A unique celebration of the power and influence
of women at the dawn of the century, this trilogy challenges
women to express their voices and become catalysts for positive
change in the world
